Chapter I: Where It All Began

MC and Justin met in Morgantown through mutual friends. It wasn’t dramatic or planned, just one of those moments that quietly shifts everything. They hit it off right away, but instead of rushing into anything, they stayed friends for a while. It felt easy that way. Comfortable. That friendship became the foundation they would always return to.

Justin supported MC through school, showing up in ways that didn’t ask for recognition. When residency meant moving to Parkersburg, West Virginia, he went with her without hesitation. That year brought long days and new routines, but it also showed them what partnership really looked like. They learned how to navigate change together, side by side.

When residency ended, life found a steadier rhythm. They both landed jobs they loved and eventually settled in Winfield, West Virginia, close to family. What still feels almost unreal is how close their paths had always been. They grew up about twenty miles apart, went to high schools that competed against each other in sports, and somehow never met until West Virginia University brought them together. Timing, it turns out, has a way of doing its job.

The proposal came on a Valentine’s Day trip to Myrtle Beach, a place that already held meaning for them. Weekend trips to the beach were nothing new, which made it easy for Justin to keep his secret. He went out of his way to make sure MC didn’t suspect a thing, reminding her more than once that he wasn’t proposing so she wouldn’t be disappointed. She believed him completely.

And then he asked.

It was simple, thoughtful, and completely them.

Chapter II: A Winter Morning Filled With Meaning

Soon it was their wedding day.

Snowflakes drifted through the air and temperatures dropped, but inside the Columbus Hilton Hotel, the mood was warm and full of energy. MC gathered with her lifelong friends as hair and makeup wrapped up, the room buzzing with laughter and anticipation. When everything was finished, the group sat together, and one by one, each member of the bridal party read a letter written just for MC. Words of encouragement, shared memories, and reminders of how deeply she is loved. Happy tears flowed freely.

A few floors below, the day felt quieter. Justin’s father helped him into his jacket and carefully checked his tie, taking his time with every detail. The pride on his face was impossible to miss. Once Justin was ready, his father asked for a private moment—just the two of them—to offer words of advice that Justin will carry with him for the rest of his life.

Soon after, a pink limo arrived, ready to take everyone to Brookshire Event Center, where MC and Justin’s celebration was about to unfold.

Before the ceremony, MC shared a few special first looks with her father and brother. Quiet moments. Emotional moments. The kind you don’t rush.

As friends and family gathered, the ceremony began. Surrounded by the people who knew them best, MC and Justin exchanged vows and promised their lives to one another.

Chapter III: A Celebration to Remember

Once the ceremony ended, the celebration took on a life of its own.

The rest of the night was filled with heartfelt speeches, meaningful dances, and moments that didn’t need to be staged to feel important. Laughter echoed through the room. Hugs lingered a little longer. Every part of the evening felt genuine and unforced.

MC and Justin moved through the night taking it all in—the joy, the emotion, and the people who had been part of their story long before this day arrived. Their wedding felt less like a production and more like a gathering, filled with warmth despite the winter cold outside.

On a snowy night in Delaware, Ohio, surrounded by family and friends, MC and Justin began their next chapter together—one built on friendship, laughter, and a love that has only grown stronger with time.

Congratulations to MC and Justin on a beautiful wedding day and a lifetime ahead.
