Saint Stephens Church and Mayfield Country-Club Cleveland Ohio: Chloe and Dom

Chloe & Dom | A Cleveland Wedding at St. Stephen Church & Mayfield Country Club

Some wedding mornings begin with nerves. Others begin with music, laughter, old friends and the quiet realization that a day everyone has talked about for months has finally arrived.

For Chloe and Dom, it began at **Mayfield Country Club**, where both sides of the wedding party were getting ready on different floors.

Chloe spent the morning surrounded by her longtime circle of supporters. Taylor Swift played in the background as everyone handled the final details, shared a few polite jokes and helped turn an ordinary morning into one they would remember for years. Dresses were checked, finishing touches were made, and somewhere between the music and laughter, it started to feel real.

A few floors away, Dom was having a slightly different experience.

His childhood friends and brothers filled the room with the kind of candid conversation that probably belonged exactly where it was. They tightened one another's ties, made sure handkerchiefs were sitting in the right places and gave every suit one last inspection. There was plenty of laughter, but underneath it all was something else. These were people who had known Dom long before this day, and now they were helping him get ready for one of the biggest moments of his life.

Soon, everyone made their way into Cleveland for the ceremony at **St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church**.

St. Stephen has been part of Cleveland since its parish was founded in 1869 to serve the city's growing German Catholic community. The present church was completed and consecrated in 1881, and its High Victorian Gothic design remains one of the most recognizable historic church interiors in Cleveland. Much of its remarkable woodwork, including statues, shrines and altars, was handcrafted in Munich and brought to Cleveland in the 1890s. The church was later added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

More than a century later, Chloe and Dom added a chapter of their own.

Their wedding ceremony was a beautiful **full Catholic Mass**, surrounded by family and friends beneath the towering arches, stained glass and detailed woodwork of St. Stephen. It was the kind of setting that naturally asks everyone to slow down for a moment. In a day that moves quickly, the ceremony gave Chloe and Dom time to simply stand together, exchange their vows and take in exactly why everyone had gathered.

And then they were married.

From St. Stephen, the celebration made its way back to **Mayfield Country Club** for the reception.

The evening opened with speeches from the fathers of the bride and groom, followed by the matron of honor and best man. There were stories, laughs and the kind of memories that can only come from people who have been close enough to watch two lives take shape long before they eventually came together.

Then the cake was cut. Dinner was served.

And whatever formality remained in the room disappeared when the dance floor opened.

There were slow dances, conga lines and friends pulling other friends into the celebration. Different generations found their way onto the floor, and the party carried on the way good wedding receptions tend to do: one song becoming another until suddenly everyone realized the night was almost over.

From Taylor Swift playing upstairs at Mayfield Country Club that morning to the final song of the reception, Chloe and Dom's Cleveland wedding was filled with history, friendship, family, tradition and plenty of laughter.

A beautiful church. A packed dance floor. Their favorite people in one place.

And somewhere between the first song of the morning and the last song of the night, Chloe and Dom began something entirely new.
