Monroeville: Lona and Symiel

A single tear of joy slowly made its way down the side of the groom’s face. It was a show of true emotion from Symiel at the ceremony where he was realizing the dream of marrying his high school sweetheart. I was honored to shoot this occasion as Symiel is the brother of a good friend of mine, and I used to work with the bride’s sister. All of the men in the wedding party were looking clean and classy as they prepared for the day’s events. They walked toward me, posing for pictures. The scene resembled something out of the Quentin Tarantino classic, Reservoir Dogs. At the reception, the maid of honor, Ms. Brooks delivered a wonderful toast and DJ Phil kept the Hip Hop music flow going. The dance floor was full at all times as young and old, including the groom’s uncle, bopped to the fresh beats all night long.
