Chapter 1: West Coast Beginnings

In 2018, Brandon embarked on a new journey, moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking. Maia, still in college and interning in PR and advertising, remained in Pittsburgh. Their paths, once parallel, began to intertwine more closely when Maia moved to LA in 2022 after securing a job in entertainment public relations. The bustling city life was a stark contrast to Pittsburgh, but together, they navigated the challenges and embraced LA's adventures.

Their bond strengthened as they explored the city's iconic spots—Echo Park, Griffith Park, and the serene beaches of Malibu. Long drives, shared Hawaiian BBQ and In-N-Out meals, and countless sunsets watched together became the backdrop of their blossoming relationship. Brandon introduced Maia to new experiences, always reassuring her during her transition. Their shared love for storytelling and creativity led them to co-found Studio Twenty6, a social media marketing business aimed at helping nonprofits tell their stories and enhance brand awareness.

Chapter 2: A Leap of Faith

The post-COVID era brought unforeseen challenges to the film industry, making it difficult for freelancers like Brandon to find consistent work. Despite the setbacks, he remained determined, often taking faith walks in downtown LA to seek clarity. During one such walk, he felt a profound calling: "Go home, and you'll be saved." This message led him to make the difficult decision to return to Pittsburgh.

Maia faced her own crossroads. Though she had dreams of advancing in entertainment journalism in LA, she chose to follow Brandon, trusting in the path they were being led to. Back in Pittsburgh, Maia flourished as a freelance journalist, contributing to esteemed publications like the New Pittsburgh Courier and Pittsburgh City Paper. Their return home marked a new chapter, one filled with deeper connections to family, community, and faith.

Chapter 3: A Celebration of Love

Maia and Brandon's wedding was a heartfelt celebration, reflecting their unique journey and shared values. The choice of venue in Pittsburgh paid homage to their roots, while elements like beach-inspired decor and LA-themed touches honored their time on the West Coast.

The ceremony blended tradition and personal flair, with vows exchanged under a canopy reminiscent of Malibu's coastal charm. Guests were treated to a reception filled with laughter, dance, and stories highlighting the couple's adventures from LA to Pittsburgh.

For wedding photographers, Maia and Brandon's celebration offered many picturesque moments. From candid shots against Pittsburgh's historic architecture to romantic portraits echoing their beachside memories, each frame told a story of love, resilience, and joy.

From the defining silence during the getting-ready session, to the high energy that contagiously filled the dance floor at Hosana House.  I had a ball with these two. To see how pumped Brandon's friends were, these guys were constantly hyping them up. It was just a beautiful day..... the vows, to the balloon release, and the toast that went on forever because so many people had so many phenomenal things to say about these two—an authentic love story, from start to finish.
