I. Written in the Stars 🌌
“When you know, you know.”
Driving across the bridge into the North Shore that morning, I could already tell—this was going to be one of those wedding days. The kind where the clouds break at just the right time, the kind where laughter comes easy, and where every moment feels like it’s unfolding straight out of a storybook.
Jenna and Greg are the kind of couple you just want to be around. Down-to-earth, adventurous, warm. From our first meeting, it was clear that their wedding day wasn’t going to follow a script—it was going to follow their hearts.
Their venue? The Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh—a perfect reflection of their love for learning, discovery, and fun. A place where you can get married under stars, experiment with gravity, and dance alongside robots. And trust me, we did all of that and more.
But before the exhibits, before the excitement, we started the day with a moment I’ll never forget.
II. The First Look 👀✨
“A glance that said everything.”
Some people think of a first look as just another photo op. But if you’ve ever witnessed one—really witnessed one—you know it’s so much more than that.
We set up Jenna and Greg’s first look outside, in a quiet corner near the Science Center. No distractions. Just the two of them, and the city they love glowing softly in the background. Greg stood with his back turned, hands a little shaky. Jenna approached slowly, gently tapping his shoulder.
He turned—and time just... stopped.
Greg’s eyes welled up. Jenna smiled in that way she does when she’s trying not to cry. And for a moment, everything else faded. The nerves. The timeline. The guests. It was just them. This is why I do what I do. These are the moments that matter most.
From a photography perspective, this was gold. But more than that—it was real. The emotion wasn’t posed, it wasn’t prompted. It was Jenna and Greg, seeing their forever begin.
III. A Wedding for the Curious 🎡🎉
“Why just celebrate, when you can explore too?”
After their ceremony, Jenna and Greg didn’t just throw a party. They invited their guests on a journey. The Science Center was buzzing—not just from the wedding energy, but from guests gleefully interacting with everything from the Pompeii exhibit to the zero-gravity space shuttle simulator.
We paused at the submarine. Yes, a real submarine. Jenna leaned into Greg, laughing as he tried to steer. The sun peeked through just enough for one of my favorite portraits of the day—a quiet shot of them holding hands as their guests explored behind them. Pittsburgh wedding photography isn’t always about big dramatic architecture. Sometimes it’s about catching a look, a smile, a moment no one else notices.
Every detail of the day felt like a reflection of who they are. Curious. Kind. Joyful.
The reception? A blend of heart and hilarity. Toasts that had everyone in tears—some from laughter, others from love. Their first dance was playful, sweet, and totally them. No choreographed spectacle, just two people holding each other like they always do.
Final Thoughts: The Glow After the "I Do" 💫
By the time we wrapped up portraits and guests made their way toward dessert tables and dance circles, Jenna and Greg stepped out onto a balcony for one last quiet moment. The skyline shimmered. The city lights reflected in the river. And they just stood there, side by side, taking it all in.
And I did what I always do—I captured it. That one frame that says more than any pose ever could.
I often tell couples that your wedding photos should feel like you—not like a Pinterest board. And Jenna and Greg? They gave me the gift of authenticity. Of trust. Of letting me be part of their story.
So here’s to the couple who reminded us that love is both a grand adventure and a series of tiny, perfect moments. Here's to getting married where rockets launch and hearts soar. And here’s to their forever, built on laughter, curiosity, and a deep, undeniable connection.
Congratulations, Jenna and Greg.
Your wedding wasn’t just fun—it was unforgettable. May your days be filled with spontaneous science experiments, sky-high dreams, and plenty of gravity-defying love.
