I pulled up around noon to David’s house, where he and a few of his friends from military were lacing up their shoes and telling stories of days gone by. I’ve always been fascinated by the closeness of military comrades. Their unique experiences foster an unending familiarity that was evident throughout the day. From there, I met with Mallory. It was great to see the delight in her father’s face as she came down the stairs wearing the dress she’d been eager to put on for a lifetime. After a brief but warm ceremony, we made our way to the New Castle Country Club where they had fun tossing cake at one another before dancing the night away.
